Lens-Artist Challenge – Something Old, New, Borrowed and Blue

My background is fashion and I still love textile crafts. Last week I learnt how to make a rag rug and I can’t wait to finish all other projects I have on hand just now to give it a go. This photo was taken at Holmwood House in Glasgow and it is of a patchwork throw. It was made of old cuts of fabric into something new (at least at the time…) and it is mainly of shades of blue. I did think it was a tad too poor for the surroundings so I guess it was borrowed from somewhere else just because it is of the same age as the rest of the furniture. I could never have thought that my love for old (textile) things would give me this photo for the challenge.
