Friendly Friday Challenge – Remote

For a second there I thought I was going to post a view of Scotland. Some Lochs are pretty remote and true to their wilderness fame. And beautiful too. But then I remembered a long, long time ago, before digital cameras, I spent a few holidays in the truthful middle of nowhere, back in Portugal. The roads were terrible for someone like me, that suffers from acute travel sickness and so scary too, nothing to stop you from going down a ravine. This is stillness territory, that only comes to life in the summer with people going back to their origins for holidays and (unfortunately) forest fires.

The scans are poor as the prints were not that good to start with, so my apologies for that. And then again, it adds to the sense of nothing really happening here, perhaps not even time.
