Glasgow University is one of the oldest in Europe. The building is from the 1870’s but the University, as an institution, was founded in 1451. It’s a great building to visit, especially the Hunterian Museum. And it can be quite magical too, if, like myself, you are lucky to have a lone piper playing the Flower of Scotland while you’re there.
This section of the building is one of the most photographed, a extensive area of arches that lead to a courtyard.
