Lens-Artists Challenge – Surprise

The good thing about travelling is the element of surprise. No matter how well you prepare, read your travel books, plan your days so you can make the most of your time, there is always room for the unexpected. In my case, all the planning did not prepare me for this surprise but something in me also says this is bound to be on the travel books and how did I miss it?

After spending so much time looking for cosplay and streetwear in nearby Shibuya we decided to move along to nearby Meiji Jingu Shrine. It was a Saturday, there were people waiting outside, beautiful kimonos everywhere. Photographers and blushing brides. Traditions we were unaware but mesmerised by. And Happiness, including my own.

  1. Love your phrase: “There’s always room for the unexpected.” It pretty much sums up why we travel — we’re looking for lifestyles, places, people, etc. unlike what we get to experience in our hometown. Lovely photos and much to anticipate if we ever get to travel again.
