The first time I saw a squirrel was in Glasgow. There’s plenty of them in the parks (or anywhere with trees…!) and the ones in towns are pretty tame. So much so they try to climb your legs looking for food. They’re all grey squirrels, the red ones almost gone. Which brings the photo of a red squirrel, spoted in Lisbon. After being extinct since the 16th Century, they have come back, and can be found in the Tropical Botanical Garden in Lisbon.
