
Rules are there to be broken but when it comes to photography, I tend follow the Rules of Thirds almost instinctively, as nothing else seems to feel right, balanced. My example is from New Lanark, in Scotland, where a traditional red phonebox really pops out against the brick work of the houses at this World Heritage Centre.
