First thing on my mind for the letter A had to be art. Art, of any kind. Architecture, sculpture, decorative arts, modern art installation… It’s what I studied for years and now I use photography to keep a record for future inspirations.
Art is a reflection of the its time, even if it does so by showing the need to change. Art shows us the human spirit but also its technical habilities, the need for beauty as well as function, creativity and thought provoking.

You are so right about art, Sofia. It elevates the mind and spirit. It reminds us of what we can become and it’s a record of where we are in the present moment. Beautiful captures and beautiful thoughts!

Wonderful choices Sofia – I especially loved your opening hallway image. Can you tell me where you found it? And you are so right about art, it’s the perfect choice for this week’s challenge and you’ve explored it beautifully.

At the time, yes, there was a storm coming. I’m not sure how it looks without rain 😀

Excellent A, Sofia – enjoyed every piece of it! Roofs and ceilings are always interesting – Where is Paisley abbey? All so well photographed and presented.

Thank you, Ann-Christine. Paisley is the biggest town in Scotland, not far from Glasgow. I lived there for many years.
