I’m so glad I could find so much information on the building this door belongs to. Usually I don’t have any but not this time. This is the door of the Lindsay House in Cathcart, Glasgow. The house, built in 1863, is an early example of tenement buildings in Glasgow (they’re mostly from 1880’s onwards) but built for single occupancy, all three levels. The monogram is for the owner David Lindsay, who owned the mill close by and here is a door from that building that I shared before.

A rather elaborate and elegant entrance. I like that it has been so well preserved. The figured glass in the window is a very nice feature.
