One of the most prestigious addresses in Edinburgh is Charlotte Square. Completed in 1820, it is part of the New Town, a designated Unesco World Heritage Site, it is a lovely, elegant Georgian square. The National Trust for Scotland owns a couple of the buildings, no6 (the official residence of the First Minister of Scotland) and no7, that is open to the public and it’s well worth a visit. Most are still residential but there are also offices.
