Lens-Artists Challenge – Double Dipping

When I restarted blogging after a few years pause, I had a very clear idea of what I wanted to do. I would post as often as I could, mainly photos but sometimes I would also do reviews on books I’ve read and maybe even post on craft projects I would start. How things have changed…

I’m taking Tina’s challenge and going with a celebration of the other blogs I’ve found in the past 2 years and their challenges. They’ve made my blog what it is today and they kept me thinking about how I could see things in a different way. I’ve been truly challenged every week, sometimes even everyday.

Cee’s Flower of the Day is probably the most beautiful daily inspiration.

There’s more to Cee’s photography and challenges than flowers. I join the other challenges when time allows me and I like the fact that there’s always something quirky about them. The photo above is for the weekly Black and White Challenge, in this case, Cups and Glasses!

I’ve found the perfect place to share my love for doors on Dan’s Thursday Doors. It really is a community of likeminded bloggers and a joy to take part every week. I’ve already posted my door for this week, so this one is a bit of an extra.

Thanks to Tina I’ve discovered John’s challenge too, Cellpic Sunday. This is my first contribution to it and also doubles with Marsha’s and Cee’s Photographing Public Art Challenge. It was taken yesterday while I was walking to pick up my son from school.

Lastly, I couldn’t go without mentioning the first challenge I’ve joined this time round on my blogging life: Friendly Friday. Since then it has changed hosts and a bit in terms of concept, becaming wider in the ways you can take part. Amanda, Sandy and Sarah are the co-hosts of this incredibly interesting, and sometimes, hard challenge. I would like to link to their most recent theme and join in, but at time of writing it hadn’t been posted yet. Friendly Friday and, of course, Lens-Artists were the challenges that lead me to other blogs. I wouldn’t be part of this wonderful community of bloggers/photographers if it wasn’t for them.

  2. The sign on the door has irony – lol

And nice double dipping and it truly is fun to have a goal for the blog and then see it take on a life of its own!

I looked for the Friday photos challenge too and couldn’t find it. I could only find the master page on Amanda’s blog

I look forward to your guest hosting the Friendly Friday challenge this coming March. We start back with prompts for 2022 on Friday, 28th January. 1. I love joining when I can! I couldn’t not mention Friendly Friday on a post like this, it was the first challenge I joined and always try to go back to. Thank you so much for the invite to guest host.

  4. Thanks for joining in on Cellpic Sunday, Sofia! I am going to enjoy working on my challenge response to Tina today. Just reviewing some of the responses, I’ve found a new challenge or two to join myself.

  5. Lovely tribute to the importance of challenges, and as always outstanding photography! I blogged for two years before attending a challenge – and that indeed boosted my own as well as others interest.

  6. What a lovely commentary on everyone’s challenge. Your photographs are so lovely, and even though it’s not PPAC, I love the glass you did for Cee’s challenge. It is extraordinary! I feel honored to be included in your list of challenges, Sofia.
