We’re at New College, the University of Edinburgh. This particular building, part of the Faculty of Divinity, houses the Library. The whole complex is incredibly interesting, architecture wise and also historically. The Assembly Hall was home of the Scottish Parliament after devolution and until the new building was finished. The library was built in 1849 as a Church. Now is one of the best theological libraries in the UK.

Thta’s a fabulous photograph. I love learning the history behind the door, and I am happy to know that this building still has a rich function. I hope it continues to serve for years to come.

Wow, what a beautiful building with the ornate windows, stone work, and the door with the lamp hanging above it. I like the statue. All around great photo.
