Today is my sister’s 50th Birthday. Her favourite colour is green so I thought it would be fitting to share a green door. This one was taken on my last trip to Lisbon and unfortunately, there are just a few left to share. It is located at one of the poshest areas in Lisbon, Príncipe Real, not far from the Botanic Gardens, where I took the photo from last week. This photo is the possible one. The street is full of parked cars and I was lucky to find a space between them to get the door on the shot. It does not do any justice to the building, which is considerably big, shiny in the sun and… green.

I love this door, Sofia. It has so many things I like. First, it’s a double door and it’s wooden. I like the panels and the color. Second, it has a gigantic transom light. I love that. I also like the stone surround and the brick. Great door! Happy birthday to your sister.

Thank you, Dan. The only thing to slightly make it even more interesting is, they are not bricks but tiles, lovely shiny tiles 🙂

Everything about this appeals to me, Sofia, so it’s definitely a winner. (And I like green as well.) A belated happy birthday to your sister.
