
Last week I shared a lovely green door. The building was a nice example of early 20th architecture in Lisbon. Today it’s something completely different and it’s the building immediately next to it. The difference couldn’t be more striking. Google maps shows they’re similar in size but the quality of all elements and that door make me believe they were not built for the same purpose or, indeed for the same type of people.

That is a magnificent door. I love that it blends up into the same window that sits on top of all the windows, and that it’s size is in line with the rest of the openings. It gives the building an uninterrupted floor. The door itself is a fine bit of craftsmanship.
