…wardrobe. The Hill House is one of the last remaining works by Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Built in between 1902-1904 for the publisher Walter Blackie the house was completely designed by Mackintosh and his wife Margaret Macdonald, this including all furnishings and interiors. The main bedroom has inbuilt wardrobes in the unmistakable Mackintosh style. This one, however, was found in another bedroom that belonged to one of the Blackie daughters. It looks to be contemporary but I cannot say if it was original to the decor of the house. What I do know is that it was of such a beautiful simplicity, I had to take a shot.

It is beautiful. Looking at the marks from the original hardware, I’d say it dates back to the time when the house was built. The hardware has been replaced.
