Thursday Doors – Glasgow

I took these photos in June this year, looking for Art Nouveau buildings in Glasgow for my mum, as she loves this art movement. There aren’t many Art Nouveau examples in Glasgow, there seems to be a jump between Victorian/Edwardian straight into Art Deco, but I have found a few that fit the bill. This is the Griffin, dating back to 1903. When I took the photo, there was little hope for it to remain, closed since the lockdowns. I am glad to see it is now open again, and I cannot wait to have some photos from the inside.
