We visited Culross in Fife last weekend. It’s a part of Scotland I don’t know really well and I’ve been wanting to go to for quite some time. After a walk near Kirkcaldy, where we saw seals basking in the sun (and I got slightly sun burnt…) we finally drove to this small village by the Firth of Forth. A perfectly preserved 17th and 18th Century village it was the location to some of the scenes of Outlander. Not this particular one, but I loved everything about it.

That’s a lovely entrance. I really like the disproportionate double doors. They are a favorite of mine.

Your images makes me want to walk through the gate and knock on the turquoise door! Love this image! When we traveled through Scotland in 2019 we stayed in the Fernie Castle in Fife. We loved it.
