When I’m doing my Sunday walks in the city centre, I usually click away when I find an cool door and/or building. I always have the assumption that I’ll be able to get some information about it later on, especially if the building is of obvious architectural interest. And then, there’s nothing. I went back to the historical maps (I’m enjoying this map thing too much…) and can guess this was built around the late 1820’s as a commercial building. I love the door. As far as I’m aware, this shop has been closed since 2024.

An outstanding photo. Amazing door, and I love the mosaic like stonework. Great share, as always, Sofia.

That is a beautiful door. I can imagine a high end shop, or a professional office sitting behind that. I, too, am sad when I can’t find any information about a building.

It was, until recently. Maybe I’ll drop by on my next sunday walk and see what it is now.

A lovely image. You managed to capture the wonderful details in the doors and the reflections on the windows. 😊
