Ema boards are full of hopes and prayers. Each shrine has their own so it was one of the most interesting traditions we came across in Japan. This is the tidiest ema boards I have a photo of. Most of the time they are so full they become a lovely jumble. Not this one at the Meiji-jingu in Tokyo, all so perfectly alined.

I was at Meji a little over 12 months ago but somehow missed this! It was raining so hard at the time most of the visitors were taking cover around the edge of the quadrangle. I like how you interpreted the photography prompt this Friday! Thanks for joining in again!
