Thursday Doors – Bairro Alto, Lisboa

Portraits aren’t something I photograph normally, especially cheeky ones like this one. And yet, this photo remains one of my favourite. I like the fact that this poor man is so obviously checking what I’m doing and thinking oh, just get on with it. Here are the doors on the traditional neighbourhoods in Lisbon, the ones with multiple, all different, buzzers, and the ones with those windows that allow you to chat with your neighbours without leaving the comfort of your own home.
